In the areas of the Kaisergebirge, the Loferer and Leoganger "Steinberge" there are are over 400km of marked trails varying from 700m - 2500m in altitude, from gentle walks around the Pillersee to high alpine tours and via-ferrata in the most beautiful areas.

Tirol is a paradise for cyclists. It offers tours for seasoned mountainbikers over high mountain passes but also more gentle, family friendly tours for those who just want a more steady pace.
You can also hire e-bikes from us. Without expending huge amounts of energy you can ride through the beautiful countryside of the Pillerseetal and discover the delights of the region.

Tirol is a paradise for climbers, it offers possibilities for enthusiastic sport climbers, to experienced alpinists, to boulderfreaks.
Climbing in Tirol is a wonderful experience. In the region there are via-ferrata and climbing routes for every level and even a high ropes course that is open all year round.

Panorama via ferrata Henne 2078m - Fieberbrunn

Time: approx. 1.5-2 hours
A unbelieveable panoramic view can be expected from this via ferrata. The start begins by the top station of the Larchfilzkogel lift and leads towards the Wildalm. From there follow the signs for route 18 and over the top station of the Reckmoos lift to the summit. A Via ferrata harness is necessary. The level of difficulty is A/B/C/D

Climbing route Rabenkopf  1846m - Fieberbrunn

Time: approx. 1 hour
This is a newly laid out route. Well secured with fixed pietons. About 1 hour to the Rabenkopf. Short but exciting route.
Difficulty: 4-5. Sl every 20m
Easy ascent and descent, nearest accomodation is the Hochhörndlerhütte - Leo Trixl. Tel.: 05354 52848

High ropes course- Fieberbrunn

The newly errected high ropes course offers fun for young and old. At a height of 10-12m one must go through the various different stations, hanging bridges or swinging balconies it is a challenge for everybody, the crowning point comes at the end with a jump from 9m into nothing........ 

Steinplatte - Waidring

The Steinplatte offers not only a wunderful view but also unique fossilisations as the "old face" - a rock that looks like a human face. On the way to "Schustergangl" you just passs by.

Schustergangl - Waidring

Time: approx. 3 hours ( climb from the parking area 1 1/4 hours, via ferrata 3/4 hour, return to parking area 1 hour)
Start / finish: car park Steinplatte or gondola top station.
Climb up: either up with the gondola and from the gasthof Kammerkohr turn right after the mountain rescue point over the Gamsteig to the Schustergangl or from the car park Steinplatte over the Stallenalm and Grunwaldalm to the entry point.
Only with climbing equipment!

Gamssteig - Waidring

Time. approx. 2 hours
From the top station of the gondola walk down towards the valley via the Stallenalm to the Grunwaldalm and on to the Gamsteig. From there climb back to the starting point. Only for experienced climbers! Climbing equipment necessary.

Wieslochsteig - Waidring

Time: approx. 3.5 hours
Via the Stallenalm and Grunwaldalm take the turning Kopfkrax and then turn left over the Wiesloch path to the summit of the Steinplatte. Sure footedness required and climbing equipment absolutely necessary.

A newly built outdoor climbing area with various short routes.
Free to uses but at your own risk.

Via ferrata Mitterhorn 2506 - St. Ulrich am Pillersee

Time: approx. 5.5 hours
In the area of the Nuaracher Hohenweg, stamina and surefootedness are an absolute requirement for this tour. Walkers with less experience require a mountain guide. For the ascent of the 2506 m Mitterhorn, one would need approx. 5.5 hours. The via ferrata uses a series of ladders over the steeper areas. The ascent is also vertical in a number of places (follow the green markings).

Specially for children - climbing area in St Ulrich am Pillersee

This small climbing area is situated halfway on the path between St Ulrich and Hochfilzen, before the turning for the Jausenstation Grieseltal it is on the left.
It is just for climbing and abseiling during the summer months under the supervision of an expert. You will need to register in advance by one of the tourist offices in the Pillerseetal.

For children

Swimming pool, trampolin, climbing or just resting in the garden house - what can be nicer? 
For our little guests we have a play area with a wooden bridge, swing and a climbing frame in front of our house. Our garden house is very popular with the children with its covered sand pit or the many games possibilities:
